The Battery Commander Series has been designed to protect life and buildings from the devastating effects of lithium battery fires, offering a safe storage and charging solution for large volumes of lithium‑ion batteries. Lithium‑ion batteries present several risks, including thermal runaway caused by rising temperatures, shock, or manufacturing faults, which can lead to ignition and fires that are extremely difficult to extinguish.

  • Tested to the EN 14470‑1 (part 1) standard for 90 minutes of fire protection.
  • Fire‑tested and impact‑tested from a height of 9.1 metres to ensure resistance to falling through burning floors during a building fire.
  • Fitted with air ventilation ducts that are protected by a thermal fuse which activates at 75°C, sealing the unit in the event of an internal battery fire or an external building fire.
  • Can be connected to an external extraction fan via the top exit vent duct to provide forced ventilation, which is strongly recommended to prevent heat build‑up during charging.
  • Supplied with an internal temperature monitor that provides an external temperature display, offering accurate internal readings and early warning of potential battery overheating.
  • Automatic doors that close and lock automatically, ensuring the cabinet is always securely sealed in the event of a fire.
  • Comes with a high‑quality key lock supplied with two keys.
  • Features an advanced multipoint locking system that securely seals the doors, ensuring they remain closed even in the event of a severe battery explosion.
  • Constructed with double‑wall panels filled with patented Styronite F insulation, providing exceptional strength and resistance to fire and heat.
  • Supplied with one surge‑protected eight‑gang power block as standard, with the option to add up to three additional power blocks to the pre‑wired control boxes.
  • Also supplied with heavy‑duty perforated height‑adjustable shelves capable of supporting up to 100 kg each, and includes an internal base sump as standard.

This item is delivered and positioned as standard to Ground Floor or Via Suitable Lift. Please ensure there is appropriate access and no obstacles like steps or vehicle restrictions that would obstruct delivery. Restricted access deliveries where possible will be quoted on an individual basis
