Available with a mobile or static base and with either an electrically or manually-operated lifting system, the scissor lift table is typically used to lift and handle heavy goods over short distances. Suitable for the loading bay, the packing area, the production line or the warehouse - and commonly employed for work positioning, vehicle loading and pallet handling – the lift table can reduce, and often remove, the risks associated with heavy lifting and handling
At BiGDUG we have named our standard lift tables Light, Medium and Heavy Duty to simplify each table according to load capacity and intended application. Capable of lifting loads of up to 150, 500 and 1250kg respectively, all three models are highly manoeuvrable, offer assured stability and will fold completely flat when not in use. The Light Table is available in steel or lightweight aluminium and commonly used in office buildings, light industrial and pharmaceutical manufacturing plants. The Medium Lift uses the same manually-operated-hydraulic-lift principle but can lift greater loads so is more suitable for unloading vehicles, loading/unloading shelves or extending industrial work surfaces. The Heavy Duty Scissor Lift can employ a single, double or triple lift capability and is purposed-designed for more intensive, industrial-grade use. Both the Heavy Duty and the Medium Tables are available with removable steel, zinc-plated roller tops.
Single Scissor Lift Tables are generally for smaller loads and, with their lighter weight and compact sizes, are ideal for restricted working spaces. The Mobile Stainless Steel Scissor Lift Table for example is purpose-designed for food handling and other hygienic/clean working environments.
Alongside our budget-priced, Single Scissor and Double Lift Tables, we also stock a range of Tables from the long established manufacturer, JCB. Lightweight, manoeuvrable and with a lifting capacity extending from 200 to 800kg, these low-maintenance tables use a foot-operated pump for easy, stable lifting and hand-operated hydraulics for precision lowering.
For electrically-powered lifting, the Low Profile Scissor Lift Table is a static handling aid that ensures that operators are working at the correct operating height and therefore compliant with relevant Health and Safety regulations. Available with either a rectangular or U-shaped platform, the Lift Table uses a 3-phase power supply to lift loads of up to 1000kg. Both versions of the Table benefit from safety trip bars - to prevent continued operating after the detection of an obstruction - and a check valve to protect against uncontrolled lowering.
All of our Scissor Lift Tables are compliant with relevant safety standards and, used correctly, can reduce both the risks and the potential injuries from lifting, handling and positioning. Many of these risks can be minimised using appropriate handling aids so contact our Customer Services Team on 0845 966 6000 to discuss the suitability of our handling products for your business needs.
