Steerable Machine Moving Skates are designed for the safe and precise manoeuvring of industrial machinery, commercial equipment, and heavy loads. These load movers use swivel castor wheels or steerable rollers to provide both smooth travel and easy directional change. Ideal for factories, warehouses, workshops, or site relocation tasks, these robust skates for moving equipment allow users to shift loads weighing up to 12000kg with ease and precision.
- Solid forged-steel construction
- Available with nylon castors, heavy-duty steel rollers, or abrasion-resistant nylon rollers
- Anti-slip rubber mat on turntable and packing plate to ensure load stability
- Steering handle to aid positioning under load and ease of transport (hitching loops to connect to tugs or forklifts on model ref: LOISST60 and LOISST120)
- Available in the following load capacities: 1000kg (2 x swivel and 2 x fixed nylon castors), 1000kg (4 x swivel nylon castors) , 3000kg (4 x nylon rollers) , 6000kg (8 x nylon rollers) and 12000kg (8 x steel rollers)*
Equipment Moving Skates

What’s The Difference Between The Standard And Turntable Platforms?
The 1000kg skates use either standard flat platforms with fixed or swivel castors and are designed for simple, straight-line moves or basic directional change. The higher-capacity skates feature a rotating turntable platform with an anti-slip rubber surface, allowing the load to pivot smoothly during movement. These also feature a steering handle to help guide and control the direction of travel more accurately.
What Heavy Equipment Can Machine Moving Skates Transport?
These machine moving skates are designed for transporting a wide range of heavy equipment, including industrial machinery, transformers, HVAC units, and even prefabricated structures. The different weight capacities make them suitable for small-to-medium production equipment (1000kg–3000kg) right up to large industrial assets exceeding 10 tonnes. When combined with an adjustable skate pair or lifting gear, these skates form part of a complete heavy-load handling system.
Are Machinery Moving Skates Easy To Operate?
Yes, our moving skates are designed for straightforward, low-effort operation. The wheels or rollers minimise resistance, and the swivel or steerable components provide excellent manoeuvrability. For the larger turntable models, the steering handle helps guide the load into position. Used properly on smooth floors, they allow large loads to be safely moved by a small team.
