What’s The Difference Between A Platform And Shelf Trolley?
A shelf trolley is designed for the organised storage and transport of multiple items across several shelf levels. This is ideal for order picking, stock movement, or general transport where items need to be kept separate or neatly stacked. In contrast, a platform trolley is a flat, wheeled deck designed to move large, bulky, or single-unit items. The key difference is that shelf trolleys offer a multi-level structure for organised storage, while platform trolleys offer a single, flat deck for heavy and bulky item transport.
What’s The Benefit Of A Boltless Shelving Design?
Boltless shelving saves time and can increase productivity by reducing the time and effort needed to build shelving units with specialist tools. BiGDUG’s heavy-duty shelf trolley has a stud-and-keyhole boltless design, allowing the unit to be assembled, disassembled, and reconfigured with just a rubber mallet. This design also provides superior adjustability, meaning shelf levels can be quickly moved and reconfigured to different heights, offering maximum flexibility and time efficiency.
How Is This Mobile 5-Shelf Trolley Suitable For Industrial Use?
Our shelf trolley on wheels is constructed from premium-grade European steel, designed for durability in demanding industrial environments, such as warehouses and light industrial units. Its 300kg SWL* capacity per trolley makes it suitable for transporting heavy loads, and the heavy-duty, dual-wheeled castors ensure easy manoeuvrability even when fully loaded. Furthermore, the boltless design allows for rapid reconfiguration, making it an efficient and flexible asset in a fast-paced commercial setting.
